the cracked earth project...
Earth is defined by composition, our photographs are created using lines, angles, lighting and contrast. Henri Cartier-Bresson said "your first 10,000 photos are your worst" I would correct him and say your first 100,000 photos are your worst. Becoming a better and more skilled photographer has been a lifelong goal, this challenge has directed me to not only focus on the quality of my work but also on the subject matter within the photograph.
My camera inspires me to spend time outdoors, to venture to sites that otherwise I may not experience. These experiences help me to better understand the world we share. I find perspective at every stop, from abandoned churches in Detroit to the subterranean underground of the Moscow subway.
My pursuit of new experiences pushes me to continually evolve my vision and expand my understanding of our cracked earth while taking in the beauty that it offers.
